The body of Goggle 3 is made with many ports. There is the micro USB port for charging the battery, micro HDMI port that connects the device to the computer and see the videos from the computer.
The earphone port allows you to connect the earphone or headphone to the Goggle. The audio is stereo output. The earphone jack is provided at the front of the device.
There is also a micro SD port where you can insert the card. The view from the drones can directly record in this card to have playback later. The SD card can have a maximum capacity of 32GB. The videos and images will be recorded at a speed of 6 Mbps in MJPG format and AVI.
The Goggle 3 works on LiPo battery. The power of the battery is 3.7V and 2000mAh. It is rechargeable and can work for over 120 minutes at a time.
The power switch is provided at the front. Switch this button ON for the device to start working and remember to switch it off, once you are done. Long press the button for 3 seconds for both ON and OFF.
The low voltage alarm system is triggered when the battery is low. In case the alarm sets off, switch off the device and connect it to the power for battery recharge. It shows the LED light readings of the battery power as 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25%. The alarm is triggered when the power reaches 25%.
Channels, frequency, and modes
Goggle 3 allows you to choose the right frequency from 32 channels. It helps you to get the right quality image from the lot. Each device source has different frequencies of transmission and the 32 channels help you get the best one.
The control for the band width, recording or to change the modes are all provided on the body.
For the mode selection, move the button forward or backward to adjust brightness, move it to left or right to adjust the contrast. For the AV, HDMI modes, press the same button once, repeatedly to reach your choice.
Connection and Transmission
Goggle 3 connects to the source through the control device, in the case of drones and though the various ports for the other sources. For the aerial photography, it needs to connect with the radio control to get the signals.
For the videos to play, connect it to the phone, mp4 player or the computer through the USB port of HDMI port.
As for the transmission, there are 2 antennas attached to it. One is regular type with 5.8G reception and the other is mushroom headed with 5.8G for the long range transmission.
Digital video recording
The DVR button is at the front of the device. Switch on the power of the device and press the composite function key. Select the DVR recording by moving the button to the left. When you have reached the DVR option, move it forward as enter key. To start recording, short press the same key. Press again when you want to stop recording.
To playback the recorded video, press the composite key to reach playback option, choose this, again choose the format from the options, and enter.
Head Tracking function
Goggle 3 can operate with the head tracking function also. Connect the drone to the radio control. Connect the radio control and Goggle 3 through the USB cable. Activate the default channels 7 and 8 for HT function. You will be able to see that the movements of the camera and the head movements are the same.
